So, yesterday was my 7th anniversary here at Weasyl. Wow--it is far longer than I was ever at Fur Affinity (March 2012- April 2015). I joined Weasyl on January 17, 2014. Personally, I like Weasyl in so many ways better than FA. I wish more people would realize what a great and wonderful site this is and use it more, but what can you do, right?

So, my username "keirajo"--as my mini-bio on my page says--comes from a character/fursona I created for a Sonic fan-club I was in in the late 1990's--she was basically created in late 1996/early 1997. The fan-club didn't stay active for much longer after I'd joined it, but the character I'd designed was original and I recycled her for the [comic book-based] fan-fiction I was writing at the time. She first appeared in a story as Evil Sonic's partner-in-crime to get revenge on Sonic.........later, I made their relationship official and blah-blah-blah-blah-blah.

Before I left FA in 2015, I'd redesigned Keira-Jo's look (to update her to a modern Sega-style look), because she'd had the same look since the late 1990's............and I suddenly got harassed and hate-shouts left on my page when I did so. What kind of world do we live in where OTHER people can angrily criticize a person for changing their PERSONAL fursona/fansona? Besides the bullying I was suffering over there at the time--it was one more straw that made me choose to leave that site.

Last year, for fun, I gave her a look emulating the "Sonic Riders" style that female characters of that game had. As I looked through my art in the last few weeks--I'm like, I kinda like that look. It's going to become one of the "canon clothes styles" that Kei can wear. Which means--this year, I should make a new ref sheet for her. XD
