I was drawing bookmarks of random characters and thought of doing my old "John Carter of Mars"-themed pulp-style characters that I did some years back. But I thought I'd draw her a bit different...because at the end of the story she is set free by the princess. So I imagine instead of being the tough bodyguard, she might turn a bit more feminine. So I drew her more feminine than the old stuff. :)
