A break from the chibi 'Ponies today (still got about 7 more to go!). The illustration for this was originally hand-colored on a greeting card I made for a co-worker some time back. This co-worker I'd worked with for over 20 years and he'd succumbed to cancer, after being forced to retire early because of it. I found the original sketch I made (I later used my light table to trace the sketch in inks on the card itself) and inked it--then scanned it to digitally color here. He liked Star Trek and sci-fi shows and cats...so I made a card with a space-themed kitty for him. :)
