I'd say this is a fitting start to this folder. While visiting the southern rim of the Grand Canyon a few weeks back, one would always see signs and postings asking guests to stay on the paths and to not get too close to the edge of the rim. Reasons for such are kind of a given. Yet, this didn't always deter everyone from climbing around and going into places that were deemed too risky.
This was taken at the First Tunnel marker along the best known, cross-canyon path, Bright Angel Trail. On me and my bf's way back up the side from our dayhike, we ended up seeing someone being stupid enough to shimmy over there and goof around back behind the sign. Luckily, he didn't get hurt, but there's always that chance.
