You seldom meet any purist hackers anymore. Everyone will tell you the worlds have changed, and most would say it's impossible for any serious hacker to avoid picking sides. Of course, Val doesn't buy that for a second. Why bother limiting yourself to just one side, when it's clear to anyone who's paying attention that the game is rigged? Why pursue a fleeting victory for a single, ultimately temporary faction when the real prize is knowledge itself? Val is available for hire, and always does an exceptional job...but don't always assume your best interests are always the priority, and be cautious what you share.
