Octransfur Day 29: Smoke and Mirrors? [Bunny TF] by Joat

A young man was looking at a dusty old tome. It didn’t look like much, but he knew this old tome held magic within it. And indeed, he had a specific spell in mind. He opened the book to the proper page, reciting the words on it. With a flourish, of course. After all, he intended to be a stage magician, a master of illusion, and one couldn’t do that without a sense of style.

Well, okay, one could, but they wouldn’t be very popular.

Once the incantation was over, he felt a dramatic change, hovering in the air, his now-much-too-large clothes falling to the floor before gravity finally kicked in for him and he fell into his upturned top hat. He then poked his head out of the hat and looked toward a nearby mirror, finding that his head was now covered in white fuzz, his ears were at the top of his head and much longer (at least proportionally) than they were before, and his mouth and nose had pushed forward into a short muzzle. Indeed, he was now a cute little bunny, rather appropriately standing in a top hat.

He dramatically hopped out of the hat, giving a dramatic pose as he landed, revealing his small, cute fluffy body and his cute little paws. Considering the association between white bunnies and stage magic, now he was sure to become a master of illusion! Once he was on stage, he would surely be able to fool everyone in the audience into thinking that magic was truly real!

...Wait.

The prompt for this day was Illusion. You could be forgiven for thinking it wasn't though, because hooboy was I reaching on this one. My original idea was TF via viewing an illusion, which would have fit better, but nothing on that line of thinking really grabbed me, so I ultimately passed on that.

That said, I wrote the above paragraph before looking at what CrizBN did, and apparently either he struggled just as much as I did to fit the prompt or it wasn't as much of a reach as I thought, because he had much the same idea as I did. Though, in his case it was TF while trying to perform an illusion on stage, while I went with TF in order to become better at illusions on stage.
