Octransfur Day 27: An Alleged Advantage [Haunter TF] by Joat

Octransfur Day 27: An Alleged Advantage [Haunter TF]

It was the day of the gen 1 Pokémon tournament, and Helen was quite ready for it. Well, she almost was, at least. After all, it didn’t seem quite fitting to attend a gen 1 tournament as a Shaymin. And so, she proceeded to drink a dark purple liquid from a vial, at which point the transformation to a more fitting form quickly started.

It began with her forepaws, which grew into large, wispy purple hands with two fingers and a thumb each. They were no longer attached, instead floating just in front of her. Her hind legs were next to change, vanishing as her back half became purple and wispy as well, ending in a point rather than having limbs.

Her face was next, adopting the same purple appearance as it became much larger, her muzzle vanishing and her eyes adopting a sinister triangular appearance as her mouth widened into a purple-fanged grin. Three large purple spikes grew out from either side of her head, before the transformation proceeded from her head and back half to her middle, completing her transformation into a Haunter.

“Cheater!” a familiar voice called out.

Helen rolled her eyes, then glanced toward a Rattata who was carrying an electrically-fried gameboy and cartridge. The Rattata continued. “You look WAY cooler than me! You’re going to win for sure and it’s just not faaaaair!”

There were a great many things wrong with that statement, so many that she didn’t even know where to begin. And so, she simply didn’t, instead just floating off to a different room as the Rattata began to rant, oblivious to her departure.

The prompt for this day was Ghost. This sort of thing was actually an idea I had in theory for day 26, immediately following up from days 24 and 25, but gen 1 doesn't have any masked Pokémon, and Helen transforms via potions, not masks.

Also no, this TF does not mean Helen is dead. And yes, I know her not being dead is confusing when turning into a Ghost-type Pokémon, but oh well.

Comparing with what CrizBN did, one of the Pokémon choices was similar, but other than that and the fact that we used Pokémon in general, it's fairly different. There, the conflict is in being stuck in ghost forms. Here, the conflict is in Devon being Devon.
