Octransfur Day 12: Warning Backfire [Toon Squirrel TF] by Joat

A young man was looking at his phone, watching the progress bar on an app download. It was an app that he’d heard much about online. A bunch of warnings, all about how it would irreversibly alter his life, turning himself and his surroundings into cartoon versions of themselves, robbing him of his humanity and forcing him into the form of a cute cartoon animal.

...He thought it was quite silly that they spoke of such things as if they were negatives.

As soon as the app was finished downloading, he turned it on. holding the phone out in front of himself to test the app. At first he was looking at a camera view of his boring old living room, but soon he saw it changing into a vibrant toon version of itself, complete with outlines and such. Lowing the phone, he saw that his actual living room looked the same as he saw in the phone. He lifted up his phone again, looking all around the house with it, watching in awe as more and more of his house transformed into a lovely toon house.

Finally, he decided it was time for the main event. He pressed a button on the app, making it change its view to the front view, so he could see himself in it. He watched and felt as his face quickly started to change, being covered in soft brown fur (though most of it wasn’t visible as individual strands, due to his newly-simplified visual style) as his mouth and nose grew out into a muzzle tipped with a pink nose, his front two teeth growing into cute buck teeth. His new muzzle and the lower half of his face were covered in a lighter shade of brown fur. As the rest of his head changed, his hair shortened into more fur and his ears quickly moved to the top of his head, becoming furry and pointed.

It wasn’t just the part of him visible in the camera that was changing. He saw his green shirt cartoonifying as he felt himself growing fur under it. Lifting the shirt up, he saw that much of the fur was brown, while his front was light brown. His arms were covered in brown fur, then his hands changed into furry toon hand-paws.

His now-toon pants fell down around his ankles, likely at least in part to the big, bushy tail that had sprouted behind him, about as large as he was, brown on the upper half and light brown on the lower half. After feeling the soft tail with a forepaw for a moment, he looked down and saw that his legs were now covered in brown fur. Lifting his feet up from his toon shoes, he saw that he now had cute brown hind paws. He was now a toon squirrel, and he couldn’t be happier.

...Well, okay, perhaps he could be happier. He knew some friends who could really use some toon joy in their lives, after all. And what better way to do that than with his new phone app?

Octransfur Day 12: Warning Backfire [Toon Squirrel TF]

Let's face it, this is how most of us would react. Anyway, the theme for this day was Phone, so I figured a sequel to a previous Octransfur tale would be fitting. And people seem fond of toon TFs, so it works out.

Doing the traditional comparison with what CrizBN did, well... he definitely went the more direct approach, going for TF into phone rather than TF via phone. Now all we need to do is get this story's app onto that art's phone... Actually, wait, would that even do anything? I mean, Charmander is already a cartoon creature, albeit a different style of cartoon. What if our universe is just a cartoon that happens to be going for hyper-realism?
