Octransfur Day 4: Transformation Sequence [Werewolf TF] by Joat

The curse of lycanthropy was a dreaded thing, indeed. Most people afflicted with it, on the night of their first full moon, would proceed to shutter and stay away from their windows, perhaps keep themselves in their basements, under the cover of several thick blankets, or perhaps something like covering themselves with lead foil under some odd impression that might work. But no matter what, once the full moon was high enough in the sky, no amount of hiding away from its rays would prevent their inevitable transformation into a half-wolf beast. And because they thought they could protect themselves from it, the transformation inevitably ruined whatever clothes they were wearing while it happened.

Most people... were not Anna.

Anna was outside in her front yard, feeling the cool autumn breeze against her, wishing the wind were stronger so her hair could be blown dramatically by it. She was dressed casually and comfortably, watching the moon slowly rise in the dusk sky. She knew that any second now, it would begin.

She felt a jolt of energy through her entire body, a sure signal that it was starting. Using magic, she was quickly able to discern what parts were going to transform when, even being able to influence it somewhat. And so, she lifted up a hand, ribbons of pale light streaming from it before moving toward her face, shaping themselves briefly into a muzzle before quickly dispersing and circling around her in a wide arc, revealing her new gray-furred canine muzzle on her face.

Next, she conjured a flat disc of light, looking like a 2D miniature moon, and held it in front of her face briefly like a hand fan, before moving it away from her face again, revealing that now her entire face was covered in gray fur, her eyes now a faintly-glowing red instead of their usual green. The ribbons of light circled around and temporarily concealed her neck, before shaping itself into a faintly-glowing silver-looking collar of magic on her now-furry neck.

She gave a twirl as motes of light, like miniature stars, began to surround her. Her shirt and pants glowed before reshaping themselves into a frilly blue dress with silver trim. In truth, she had actually sneakily teleport-swapped out one outfit for the other, and the outfit morphing was a magical illusion. But either way, now she had her magnificent dress on. She continued her twirl as her tail was growing in, only stopping once she had a big, bushy wolf tail.

Anna began to float upward as four rings of light appeared, two around her shoulders and two at the tops of her legs, concealed by her dress. The rings traveled down her arms and legs, her limbs growing fur as the rings traveled along them, until the rings stopped at her wrists and ankles, turning into softly-glowing silver-looking bracelets, matching her collar.

A ball of light enveloped each of her hands briefly, before dissipating to reveal new gray-furred hand-paws with rather sharp-looking claws. Then her shoes began to glow, growing a bit before vanishing, revealing canine hind paws with similarly-menacing claws.

Anna descended to the ground, still surrounded by the faux stars and moon. She struck a pose, spreading her hind paws apart, putting one hand on her hip and holding the other one out in a peace sign.

“In the name of the full moon, AWOOOOOO!”

The prompt for today was Stylish, and I went through multiple potential ideas before finally settling on this.

One of those ideas was something to do with clothing, and that's exactly what CrizBN did. Except in my case I was thinking TF via clothes, while his is TF into clothes. Admittedly, it's one of those TF concepts that I actually find low-key horrifying, though I'm hardly the sort to demand other people stop doing it just because I happen not to like it. And yes, I am perfectly aware of the irony (especially given it's one of my most popular pieces).
