Incongruous Oasis by JinxCuri

Incongruous Oasis

JinxCuri

New Zanzibar.

Home to 295 million humans, anthropoids, artificial lifeforms and any mix there-in. Spanning half a continent, consuming all it's wake as it had expanded, the megapolis' tallest towers now scraped the upper atmosphere with their spiralling reach. Within the sprawling hive, it's denizens dwelt in a neon twilight, though long accustomed and accepting of such a life. Almost as if to merely remind them that there was more to existence beyond ferrocrete, pockets of carefully tended greenery punctuated the city, usually within the wealthier tourist and corporate sectors. Jinx had found his own oasis atop the artistically arranged platforms that hung suspended above Arisian Square. A chaotic symphony of insect and bird song could be heard floating above the lush foliage behind him as he sat on the edge of the circular platform; it never failed to lull the huskoon into a state of calm relaxation, despite knowing of it's artificial nature. It was almost surreal, he mused as he plucked a strand of yellow-green grass and idly chewed upon its tip, and gazed out across the cityscape before him, from what he had wryly nicknamed his 'Incongruous Oasis'.

Second piece from the cyberpunk themed shoot featuring my huskoon fursona, sort of a follow on from 'A more personal touch...' (little late in uploading it, oops!), and one that involved a lot of filtering and recolouring to bring off how the final image looks versus the original photo, really quite happy with how atmospheric it turned out.

Photo taken at the amazing Insilico cyberpunk themed sim on Second Life, additional effects including use of customized light and environment engines, re-colourisation and quality and special effects editing in Photoshop applied by myself.

Those are the creations of very talented people, and any copyrights lie solely with those, and the credit for the skill in doing so. I claim only the talent and skill, such as it may be, in modifying my avatars and accessorising them from my SL inventory and creating characters, scenes and stories from them, framing the shots, editing them, applying artistic effects and creating any flavour text/themes/accompanying fiction, with the photos that I take.
