Ready? 3...2...1...GO!

"FUCKING HE-"

Inconnu's expletive was drowned out as a hail of gunfire peppered the collapsed wall that he had taken cover behind. The self-styled 'rockerboy' shook his head, fragments of brick and plaster falling from the mass of frizzy black hair that crowned the androgynous shark's head. He darted a look over to his side to see that his comrade-in-arms, Raptor, had also been forced to scramble behind a similarly disheveled pile of former masonry. The female shark was snarling and cursing as she struggled to clear a jam from one of the smoking twin sub-machine guns she favoured as her personal weapons of choice. Favouring a pair of pistols, Inconnu often wondered how she even managed to aim the things when they were firing on full burst, but she never seemed to care when her shots went wild. The spectacle and effect a murderous volley of bullets had on their targets, were enough for her. Inconnu saw her teeth flash into a grin as she cleared the jam, adjusted her trademark headphones and fired up what she called her 'mood music'. Raptor nodded towards him, indicating that she was ready. He flashed her a return grin; holding up his pistols, and took a deep, steadying breath, as the gunfire began to die down. His mouth worked silently as the seconds ticked down. Nervous excitement thrilled his veins. Life or death would be decided in the next few moments.

GO!*

He nodded towards her again, and almost in perfect unison, the duo leapt out from behind their cover and opened fire, laying down a storm of return fire against the assailants as they sailed through the air, crossing paths with their usual flare for theatrics. In the split-second they made eye-contact, the pair flashed each other a grin, as they laid bloody waste to the hired thugs of the Scorpion Cartel.

Bit of a hurried accompanying narrative, but I've just been so excited to upload this gift for the ever-awesome skyewinter. Skye drew the first artwork of Inconnu Noir, my new sharksona, the other day and so in thanks for the amazing piece, I put together this little action scene of Inconnu and her own recently developed shark character, Raptor in action. I'm really proud of this particular piece of narrative photoart. Put together in Photoshop using photos of the Second Life avatar versions of our sharks, I used a stock texture for the brickwork background, a bulletholes brush and then followed with much experimentation and tinkering around and editing with recolourisation, filtering to give just the right comic book / posterized look to the scene and then adding smoke, shadows and extra lighting to bring it to life. I think what took the longest was using cutting around and editing the photos I took of Inconnu and Raptor and producing a transparent version of them, very time-consuming and annoying! All worth it though, I really had a blast putting this together and seeing it come to life, and I hope you like this, Skye. <3 Thanks for being awesome. <3

I claim only the talent and skill, such as it may be, in modifying my avatars and accessorising them from my Second Life inventory and creating characters, scenes and stories from them, framing the shots, editing them, applying artistic effects and creating any flavour text/themes/accompanying fiction, with the photos that I take.
