Davu merchants and artisans sell a wide variety of things. Many of them obtain their goods from others if they have been in business long enough, others make their own textiles and crafts. Some of them provide non-physical goods and services. They almost always have enough money to feed themselves, some of them even get a little fat. They wear nicer clothing than the Peasantry and usually eat a wider variety of foods.

The Green shown here was very, very lucky indeed to get to where she is today. She was born into the peasantry class, but she happened to be good at what she did, and that also happened to be something in high demand by those with money. It likely took a lot of hard work, time, and frustration, but she eventually made a better life for herself.

She's a bit of a rebellious thing too, as can be seen from the colors she wears. The gold trim on her tunic is borderline taboo. With it she's suggesting that she's just as good as a Gold noble, and yet it isn't so overwhelming that she'll be socially scorned for it. She's probably the brunt of many jokes and harsh remarks, but so long as people buy her wares, which they do indeed, she could care less what they think about her. She provides a necessary service, and is likely one of the few that do, and as such her position is, currently, stable, no matter what the pompous Bronze's might say about her behind her back.
