After The Final Battle by foxgamer01

After The Final Battle

foxgamer01

Made by Foxena.

Well, here is Daren, on a hospital bed after a major battle. He's heavily wounded, as you can see. It took him a few days to wake up and a week to even stand (yet with a cane). Zelda is there, making sure he stays alive. She stays with him day and night with another of Daren's friend (who is not in this pic).

This picture took place after this one, if you were wondering.

Hope you'll enjoy it.

    There is... so much yet so little to say about this picture. On one hand Daren is mortally wounded... and on the other hand Daren is mortally wounded, please fill out action hero cliche form twenty four slash six bee.

    One thing that has always bugged me about the whole "Daren was unconscious for a whole week" thing that is casually stated when describing his battle with the big bad... how could he have possibly been that badly damaged? The Anthro are masters of transformation, so one would assume physical damage would be easy to heal. Mental damage is another thing, but it's also rather hard to judge how much one would accrue a large deal of physiological trauma in one battle. The ONLY explanation if the fact that permanent transformation is poisonous to anthro... which isn't something that has been demonstrated in any of the stories as of yet.

    Oh, and then we have the usual "Dear [censored] how can anyone be that skinny?" I mean, seriously, he looks like a mummy in bandages. I know he is supposed to be greatly wounded here, but he was unconscious for a week, not months. Atrophy is NOT that aggressive.

      Old comment I'm responding to, I know. Been trying to get into a better habit of doing so. XD;

      In any case, I'll do my best to explain. While Athrú can heal easily, electric attacks (one that L uses and is immune to) are, in fact, a weakness to the species. It disrupts their magical flow and control. And Daren here was pumped with a ton of electrical damages. As such, his body healed much slower than normal.

      An interesting thing to point out, that permanent transformation being poisonous to Athrú. ;)

      As for the whole Daren being a skinny boy thing, refer to my previous comment. ;)
