G-51's attention was focused on the floating orb. "What is that?"

"What, my player?" Lora smiled softly, and tapped the side of the metal sphere to increase the volume slightly. "Are you a music fan G?"

"Music?" She moved around the table and sat down close to Lora. "What is music?" Her eyes still staring at the orb.

"You serious?" She raised an eyebrow, exhaling a white cloud of smoke. "Music is...well it's awesome. Just keep listening till you find something you like."

Meet Lora Kayen, chief engineer aboard the Bolsheretsk star ship. Born on Terra, but raised on starships all her life, her unparalleled mechanical aptitude more than compensates for her lack of social skills.

These two met by pure chance. Lora was headed for lunch in the mess hall and G-51 had decided to sate her curiosity and explore the ship. They met in the corridors and the android joined her for the rest of the day.

This was the second time they spent time together. G-51 had just returned from her first mission with the ship's soldiers, where they managed to save half the population of a small town from alien arachnids. After cleaning up she went to engineering to see Lora, and discovered music for the first time.

These two are becoming good friends, and Lora has given the name Gina to G-51.
