And here we come to the character with most likely the biggest change of all: Raphael.

Despite the fact that Raphael was among the better written characters, there was some fear of him being a bit too much fitting to the protagonist role, while not truly having that role. Hence the person who was helping me get my comic on track suggested that Raphael could become "the rich kid", snooty, arrogant, prideful...

This may seem like quite the leap, however the idea had some ground to stand on. I had the idea that at some point it would be revealed, that Raphael has super rich parents, and is member of some long-running family. This would explain how he always has really expensive stuff. There was room for this to get put in... And I also thought of how potentially Raphael could read about his family having great magicians as ancestors, it getting to his head, and him starting to act superior to everyone else. Of course eventually he'd get over it and become more humble again.

This idea of course wasn't used, and even my plans of any reveals of Raphael's family were cancelled. I will say that I do think this idea was interesting, but I don't feel confident if it would have truly made the story better, but perhaps it's because Raphael worked as a character to begin with, so changing stuff doesn't sound necessary... But no matter, it's all in the past now!

And just to confess, the outfit that Raphael was meant to wear was highly inspired by Byakuya Togami from Danganronpa 2...
