I'm glad I'm on a bit of role with species since I'm trying to get things along there. Anyway the wooboo is another fauna of the planet Waloe. Unlike the previous species I posted that is kept in aquariums you don't often see this species; not because it's a particularly sad looking monochrome fish but because of its defence mechanism. As you probably know some fish on Earth use light to attract prey but wooboo do the opposite, the organ on their head produces one of the brightest biological light of any species. Given most fish don't even have eyelids it tends to be anywhere between disorientating and incredibly painful, wooboo are lucky and actually evolved eyelids. If you're wondering about the mechanism its from a violent chemical reaction in said organ, usually it just lightly glows but when frightened its gets blindly bright. Wooboo are notably a very skittish species.

Interestingly while wooboo are not that useful to the local people a Vishquinza apparently bought a few off a Wayok before rules about selling foreign species to each other really got strict and now the Vishquinza use them as weapons. Wooboo have even become a invasive species on the planet Numamai making them only one of two known species to have accomplished this, the other being Saitek.
