…Really I’m serious.
Anyway for some time now as inspired by realistic takes on Pokemon I wanted to try to draw Sciencemon (my fan Digimon you'll probably see around here a lot as I get more active) as he would look if he was a real living thing.
Design wise I did what I like to call “reverse engineering style”. Basically looking at what I knew about Sciencemon and what I knew about the Digimon style and figuring out what realistically body parts would look like. Sciencemon is kinda a pseudo primate, having many of their features (like realistically considering the climbing he would have opposable toes on each foot) but many are obviously off (like his ears being on the top of his head, having the wrong number of toes, having claws instead of nails… having no nose: you get the idea). Also for his “tail” I straighten it out and gave it a membrane between 3 “toe” like structures which kinda makes it look like a frog’s foot but notably he’s a mutant Digimon, he has weirdness going on if the white and green patchwork skin didn’t make it obvious enough.
Drawing wise had a surprising amount of fun just trying to do something a bit closer to reality then my usual work, like putting more effort to giving his outfit realistic folds for example. Also thin lineart for once! Furthermore, I rarely try to draw things realistic so that in itself was a fun thing to do.
So beyond all that enjoy something a bit different then my usual stuff.
Digimon belongs to Bandai
Sciencemon is mine
PS: if i wasn’t obvious he’s holding onto a desk chair. He’s kinda just grabbing onto a corner so it hard to tell :U in theory it could be a leather couch as well.

At least it really looks interesting and I like that you think of so many realistic things. owo
