My first submission of 2014 though not my first drawing though. Fun fact: this and one other species were drawn during a day trip I took on the 20th making it and that other species the only Entirety species which were drawn on paper rather than tablet seen here.

Eaps are pretty interesting indeed, they’re the smallest xeno animal I posted up to now as well as boast the smallest name (pronounced “eep”). They’re a not too distant relative of deserge (one of the xeno people of the planet Desergen). Think of them like small monkeys to humans in relations to genetics between eap and deserge. Much like deserge as well they appear rodent like but are actually marsupials with the female boasting a pouch which is the only noticeable sexual dimorphism of their species.

Also before some confusion comes up based on the large art Eap do not actually bounce on their tail like some cartoon character BUT they do actually use their tail which is very strong and muscular to raise themselves off the ground for a better view. Deserge can technically do this as well but not with as much grace :B. Another noticeable thing is this species 4 horns are all on its forehead and the set towards the back are more developed and have multiple points. Also if you’re wondering yes you can in fact own one of these as a pet. They aren’t as commonly kept though due to how intelligent they are making them quite high maintenance.

As far as designs go I wanted something in relation to the deserge. And yes before you ask I was thinking of a jackelope when I came up with its horns. I also got the idea to give it poofy cheeks from a particular well known franchise involving a yellow electric rodent monster :U heck its name is a joke based on the question what would happen if we named our animals based on what they said (eap is the onomatopoeia of what noise these things make).
