Officially my first drawing of 2014 (since the last submission was drawn before New Years). Nothing too fancy though it is my first xeno plant species since the Rosaital. Glawgs are a carnivorous as well as parasitic plant found on Someesio (the planet the Rosaital are from). Unlike the plants of earth many plants on someesio are considered sentient life usually with some type of plant brain equivalent. While Glawg aren't particularly smart they do make it up with pure adaptability.
You see someesio has very low gravity in comparison to most planets with life. Glawg adapted two large leafs which they use like wings/fins to navigate around. They can use photosynthesis, feed on what little animal life there is there (which is mostly small arthropods) using a pitfall trap AND stab their roots into other plants to feed on what they're feeding on like that deadbeat roommate you once had. Also to answer the question you probably have: yes those swirly things on their pitfall cover are indeed eyes. They aren't very fancy but they are made up of light sensitive cells which lets them have a rough idea if they're about to hit into something.

As far as designs go I just really wanted a swirly eyed plant alien for some odd reason. This was probably the most frustrating xeno I've done since the tenaliams =n=; I think its less the design was hard then I've been in a cranky mood the last couple of days.
