Since my hand has recovered a bit I actually got another species done! Tyrrk (pronounce “Tahy-urk”) are another resident of Karkarr (the planet the Tenaliam reside on). While they’re basically the bats of their planet as far as evolution is concern when compared to earth they’re like monkeys: a not too distant relative of the resident sapient species. As mentioned before Tenaliam have such odd anatomy because they evolved from a flying animal which wings were their middle set of limbs. Tyrrk basically branch from the same tree of life and remained quite similar to their ancestor where as Tenaliam became much larger, longer legged and cranky.

Tyrrk due differ from bats though in more than just number of limbs and tail length: most are omnivorous and often fly during the day and night rather than are mostly nocturnal.

Also to note unlike Tenaliam where the males and females have a decently noticeable sexual dimorphism most sub species of Tyrrk lack any of if they do have any its pretty minor (light slight difference in average size and coloration).

As far as design goes much like Wegatoxo I wanted an xeno animal that was similar to an earth creature but still noticeably from somewhere else. Also I guess some fanservice since they’re like tiny bat dragons but unlike the previous introduced Rakka these things can be kept as pets and won’t kill you and everyone you love horribly.
