HAPPY SAINT PATRICK'S DAY, my subjects!
The prince is being his adorable self, in fairy attire. He's a bit of a smol boi in-general, but today he's extra smol, (if those mushrooms are any indication) XD
Why do I post fairy art for Saint Patrick's Day? A lot of the fairy legends come from Ireland. Author WB Yeats famously wrote about them frequently. A lot of these stories and superstitions go way back to pre-Christian Ireland, and yet they persist, passed-down from generation to generation. The irony isn't lost on me that a Catholic Saint's holiday brings up imagery to me of something fundamentally pagan. But I suppose, when you think about it, a lot of paganism was adopted by Christianity (the Christmas Tree, for example), so I suppose its not really a surprise.
Anyway!
