Portrait commission for Kimburr, the third I've done for her! This time her character is pictured as a melanistic tiger with red eyes, giving a look I'm fairly sure no one wants to receive from an enormous apex predator. Especially this close... Loved doing this one, there's something so satisfying about painting an animal portrait like this.
4.5 hours in Photoshop CS6 with an Intuos 3 tablet

Seems like I've seen a similar image as an avatar with gold eyes. You mentioned you had worked with the same client before so I thought , maybe you did this other one I've seen around too? I cant find a link, do maybe I just need more sleep for now :p

The angle this is at really helps the scary factor, I think! Like you just turned around and noticed this big tiger was stalking you from the shadows.

You make some really lovely pieces, this one is so intense and yet almost calm at the same time. Love it :)

Awesomely done, powerful portrait! Love the look of that gaze, and your choice for the colors came out very, very well for the tone.
Also, I still can see the ANGRY BEAR FACE! xD
