part of me has such an urge to maim Rek'jek's pretty lil face but I'm torn because it'd be permanent and scars are so DUMB
I agree with brightfire here, I mean the whole dang world is at war and practically everyone is fighting against SOMETHING, scars would be a pretty realistic expectation from the lore side of Warcraft.
also I would be that one potato farmer that would somehow get a scar from a potato.
Hey farm equipment has maimed many people over the years, that shit's dangerous!
From a character standpoint though scars just feel so overdone, y'know? Especially facial scars like the classic "claw marks over one eye" thing, which I'm totally guilty of in some really old characters I made when I was like 13, lol.
Man I've had some personal experience with large farming equipment and yes, that shit is TERRIFYING.
But yeah, some scars are really hokey tropes now. They don't always have to be the generic clawmarks though, or even be on the face at all. Plus the source of the injury can result in so many different types of scars, burns and acid wounds look WAY different than getting cut up from something. I think scars can still be done tastefully and with a lot of originality. (I could be biased though because I'm covered in about eight bajillion scars from different surgeries and being a barefoot hillbilly mountain person who falls down cliffs and lands in massive briar patches.)

wow characters get more lenience with scars IMO because they're at constant risk for being maimed. unless you rp as someone in a safe and mundane career like a potato farmer or the person that sweeps horse poop out of the street
