I think I learned a new method how to do color a bit better -- but one that should not be done at the end of your rendering. Oops. Good to know for next time. And drkkaiser (FA) is okay with the greyscale, seeing as the color at this point would be a lot of hours of repainting I believe, and I should be moving on.

I think this looks stunning in grayscale! The body texture is amazing!

I so wish I could have done the color, though. The method, which feels like it should have been obvious to me, is to roughly/semi-render in greyscale, apply your colors, THEN continue rendering IN COLOR. Instead, I rendered it out entirely, and tried to use the same method and slap the color on top. Because of layering, though, it destroyed the edges and details I had placed in it, so I had to make the decision. Kaiser is leaving for a month, so I absolutely wanted it done tonight for him. I'm grateful he enjoys the greyscale just as much.

Maybe sometime later you can get a colored version done for him, but for now this is a very stunning piece!
