Don't let it get in your head.
Thank you! I can't take all the credit on this one, though -- it was a bit of a right mess until Stigmata ( https://www.weasyl.com/~stigmata ) got me a bit more on track with a critique/some tips.
I very much appreciate it, though! I feel like my painting abilities -are- getting stronger, even if I need the occasional boost. Thank you kindly! <3
You're welcome! Your art reminds me of some of the old sci-fi covers I grew up with--and I miss seeing them (since most companies use the photo-realistic covers now)...so it's great to see artists like you working had to keep the art in the fantastical alive!
I know I probably sound like a broken record at this point, but that's much too kind of you to say!
I will shamefully admit I'm not the most well-read person, so I haven't seen a lot of those old covers. :( But I know I've seen a few of them through Google. I'm flattered that my work reminds you of that level of work! I'll have to do what I can to keep that going forward, then. That is a large compliment to me, so I will try not to forget it!
I really love to see artists who really love their work and strive to be better. Not the ones who just treat it as "work". You seem to love what you're doing...you don't crank out cookie cutter art every 6 hours...you try hard to be unique--and it is so rare in today's world.
You are most welcome...and keep doing what you love, as well as love what you're doing! : )
