When Lunaria finally passed, the town that had grown up from the werewolves she had helped decided to honor her and had this stained glass window created to honor her.  She was, to them, an example of what every werewolf could be if they worked with and guided their bestial side rather than deny it or let it guide them.

Because of her unusually strong connection to the Light, the traditional werewolf imagery was inverted, with her howling before a sun, rather than a moon.  But just as she still had that connection to the Spirit of the Woods, who claims the souls of all werewolves, her display of power and triumph is framed by the avatar of the spirit and the phases of the moon, representing that even with the power of the light within, she is still werewolf.
