FWA 2013, for those who don't know, is the one that introduced the fandom to "Elevator Con". We were housed in the Westin, a 100+ floor hotel, with furs spread all throughout the building, and there were only like, four elevators to go between them. Not to mention that you could only reach the con floors through the elevators. This lead to a perfect storm the first year in the Westin, that caused us all to spend a majority of the con waiting on the elevators.

On the convention floor in one of the walkways leading to the elevators, I found Slushie Nyappy Paws doing random sketches for people waiting on the elevators. So I joined them for a bit. Just as she was getting to my sketch we were asked to leave by security because the walkway was becoming too crowded. She hastily finished my sketch and promised me she would touch it up later. I told her she didn't have to if she didn't want to, and kind of forgot about it.

Several months later, after I had posted a scan of the original sketch, I found this waiting in an e-mail. She had gone and digitally reworked her original sketch into something more complete. <3

Slushie is an awesome person and I feel a bit guilty that I have not been able to run into her since and commission her properly. Once I get the money I may have to do so online.
