For September (2017) art challenge-- dragons and monsters.

Merek had always been fascinated by the more romantic aspects of human culture. While chivalry and swordsmanship were undoubtedly his first loves, poetry and music followed not far behind. His rebec (custom made to his size) was among his most treasured possessions.

It was a shame that the creatures he admired thought of him as little more than a man-eating beast.
