I had some inspiration the other night to do some more serious work, so here's something I enjoyed doing as a form of catharsis.
I attempted to make this closer to what one might read as lyrics to a song. How successful I ended up I'm not sure. Nonetheless I think this is something that many might be able to relate to from one angle or another.

Note: Preview Imagine is a bit of concept done by my other half of my character Burwor. I couldn't think of the right preview image for this one, so I opted for a gnome that just beheld something monumentally dumb.

DA is continuing to be a tit as far as me being able to read your work goes, so I'll have to comment here instead. For one, seeing Burwor's face as the header for this made me laugh just a little too much.
I think the lyrical quality does come to the forefront so there's that. Since the rhythm in places isn't as "tight" and uniform as other stanzas I think this poem could suit well for free-form blues, grunge or even for a punk song.
