Kora was enjoying a lovely walk through the park on a beautiful, sunny afternoon. She had just installed a new app that was recommended to her by a friend, called “PuffText.” Apparently the app was a social media platform for those who liked getting inflated to various sizes, regardless of the material. When the blue jay had first opened the app and made an account, she had to choose her favorite thing to inflate with, and chose air without really thinking about it.
Her friend, Synthi, had quickly shown her the features of the app, and started a chat between them immediately. Kora had now set her phone to vibrate, though, deciding to ignore the constant texts from the dragon for the time being.
Kora had mostly light blue feathers, save for the bottom half of her face, her chest, and her stomach, which had white feathers. She had gray talons, and light blue eyes. Her skin was rather stretchy, and she was prone to being inflated by her other friends as a prank, getting herself turned into a creaking orb and putting herself into a pressure daze quite often.
She could feel her phone vibrating in her pocket every few seconds, the dragon having always texted via numerous messages rather than sending his thoughts in one big message. As Kora walked, though, she failed to realize that her stomach was slowly expanding as Synthi texted her again and again.
The app not only served as a media platform for inflation lovers, but it also inflated the users whenever they were texted by another friend via the app. Kora soon felt like she was a little bloated, and when she put a hand to her belly she realized it stuck out much further than it should’ve gone. A glance down made her see that she looked like she had swallowed a balloon whole by this point, and it was still expanding steadily right before her eyes.
Kora had no idea what was going on. She double checked there weren’t any hoses in her naval or rear end, and that there weren’t any sneaky inflation devices that had been put on her, but came up with nothing. Her last idea was to take out her phone, causing her to see the massive amount of texts coming from Synthi.
Resting her hands on her bloating belly, Kora leaned against a tree as she finally responded to Synthi’s many texts. “Would you happen to know why I’m inflating randomly?”
Synthi took a moment to respond, and that made Kora think something was up. When she did, the dragon’s text was strange. “Randomly? I have a feeling you’d have to be pretty intentional about it to be inflating.”
As soon as the blue jay received the text, her belly inflated a little more, and she realized what was happening. A quickly typed, angry text was shot back at Synthi. “God damnit Synthi, is this another idea to get me big and round again?”
Synthi responded quickly, causing the bird’s belly to reach the size of a beach ball as her chest started inflating too. “Nooooooo…”
Kora knew the dragon was lying and smirked as she got an idea. Some quick typing resulted in her sending a bunch of spam texts with one or two random letters in them, finishing the blast with a single remark. “How do you like it?”
Synthi responded with a picture, which made Kora’s belly expand further than it normally did. The image showed Synthi’s gut, which was now the size of a basketball while one of her hands in the camera showed a thumbs up. A second text, this one not a picture, confirmed that Synthi did, in fact, like blowing up.
Synthi began sending spam texts of her own, and was able to do it at a surprising speed that was much faster than what Kora could’ve sent. As it happened, the bird’s gut ballooned outward, and her chest became one with it as the air even began to puff up her arms and legs. The sudden inflation made Kora chirp, surprised, and she dropped her phone in the grass. An attempt to pick it up failed completely, her gut getting in the way of her bending her knees, and it was at that moment that the pressure hit her.
The feeling was like something was pressing outward in every direction from within her. Her skin tingled in an oddly pleasing way, being stretched constantly as it inflated more and more. Even her limbs tingled, and the sensation of it all caused her to almost go into a daze. She had to put forth a conscious effort to resist, and she knew it was a losing battle despite her best efforts. However, she wasn’t going down easily, and she thought she was going to be able to hold out until Synthi sent another large burst of spam texts.
Kora’s middle swelled again, and her limbs became too rigid to move easily. The bird stumbled forward and fell, or rather rolled, atop her belly, beginning to rise upward as she was helplessly blown bigger and bigger. The sudden increase in pressure was also enough to make her fall into a dazed stupor, and every so often she simply moaned, if not just mumbled incoherently.
Her hide began to creak and groan as it grew taut, the pressure becoming almost unbearable as Kora’s hands, feet, and head began to be sucked down into the bulges of her body. Her cheeks had blown up to the point of effectively clamping her beak shut, and all she could do was hope she didn’t pop before Synthi decided to lay off the texts.
Thankfully, that’s exactly what the dragon did. Kora felt herself stop inflating as her skin creaked and groaned constantly and loudly, almost on the verge of popping. However, one final text was sent, and Kora’s hide was then put as close to giving out as it had ever been before. Kora could tell that even a deep breath would pop her at this point. The final text, sent by Synthi as usual, showed that the dragon, too, decided that was enough inflating for the bird.
“Hope you like the app; I’ll probably come deflate you later, so have fun for now as a balloon!”
