My love.

I know that you could never see me as a Mate, or even as a mate.

I look into your eyes and see only friendship, instead of love.

I write you this, because I can't find the courage to tell you to your face.

I pray you don't think me a coward for saying in a poem what I cannot say in words.

My heart breaks everytime I see you kiss Chance, knowing that you'll never kiss me.
Knowing that you'll never run your fingers through my fur.
Knowing that you'll never hold me close and tell me you love me.

The pain of seeing you holding someone else is almost too much to bear.

You do not see the tears streaming down my face as I watch you leave, wishing for nothing
more except for you to turn around and embrace me, and never let me go.

I've tried to tell you this several times, but each time I lost my nerve and you got away.

Oh how I wish you could know how much I hurt.
Know how much pain is inside of me.
Know how much I love you.

I've tried to ignore my feelings for you, but I fail everytime.

Can't you see how much you hurt me by walking away from me?
Can't you see how much I need you to tell me you love me?

How could you be so blind to my love?
How could you not know about my feelings toward you?

I hide from you as you come back, not wanting you to see the pain in my eyes.
Not wanting you to ask me what's wrong.
Afraid of what I might say if you did.

So I can only sit in endless silence as Chance runs to embrace his mate.

I can only watch, as you laugh when he picks you up and swings you around in a circle.

I can only wish.
