Still a bouncer at the bar, but I’m on medical leave till my leg fully heals. Virgil was backup security, but I wonder what happened to that? Questions for later though.

I gently pat my paw on her shoulder.
Lana: “We’ll get you through this Kaari. No way am I going to let you starve or end up homeless.”

Kaari: “H-h-how?”

Lana: “Well, you can stay here with me. Or, at least come over and use the bath if you want.”

Kaari: “B-but what about the fleas?”

Lana: “It’ll take some extra cleaning up, but at least I got the flea collar and you the flea shampoo.”

Lana: “Besides, they’ll go away eventually. I’ll bounce those buggers myself if I have to.”

Regardless of everything else, she needs to find a new job.
You need to find her another job.
I think probably the biggest key point is new job, she shouldn't have to keep going back to that friggin' bar.

I can’t blame her at all for never wanting to step inside again after that night. It’s job hunt time for sure.

I'd say go try to apply with Luanne but honestly you wouldn't want to place her in more danger.
Well, that and the fact Luanne’s a mechanic. Not sure they’d take in someone with no experience. Well, no.. maybe they’ve got something more front facing like a receptionist? Depends on what we can find I guess.

Lana: “I could help you find another job too?”

Kaari: “No one’s gonna interview me like this Lana! I-I’m a filthy flea bag.”

Lana: “Okay, after we take of the flea problem.”

Kaari: "O..oh. Right."

She nods and goes back to picking away at her pancakes.

Wait, shoot! If she’s going to be staying here, I’ve got a lot of house work to catch up on now. I could start that after breakfast, but I don’t want to push Kaari aside so I can clean up. Maybe there’s a way I can multi-task here?
