If she was scared of you, she wouldn't be coming over to use your shower. You did save hers and everyone else's lives after all.
Don't let your thoughts run away with you, just take some deep breaths and relax, worrying won't help anyone.
There is little reason to think Kaari would be afraid of you after all you have done to save lives.

she said she's bringing over a gift. She is still your friend. She probably just didn’t want to spoil the surprise early.
You also saved her from horrible people and risked your life doing so. Give her the ability to make a few brusque statements without taking it to heart.

if you think it would calm your nerves at all, make drinks for yourself and Kaari to enjoy once she arrives. If you have the time of course!
