Elizabeth’s Christmas present had been one that she had dreamed of on many an occasion. Her romance with Peter had been like something out of a film scene, meeting and connecting in a blur of speed. It was like nothing she had ever felt before, and they had made no attempt to resist as their love became stronger with every day that passed. Finally, on Christmas Day of the year before, Peter had dropped down on one knee and proposed to her, which she had delightedly accepted in a heartbeat and with a tight hug. It had only taken them three weeks to plan out and arrange the wedding, and now the date drew so near. But first, she’d wanted to ensure that the bridesmaids she and Peter had invited were comfortable in their roles. All of them were friends of hers, and each of them had graciously accepted the invitations, with her vixen friend Belle doing so despite being heavily pregnant. Initially, Elizabeth had been concerned about what effect such an event might have on her unborn son, but had soon relented upon her telling her that this would be a story she would tell him once he got older.
She’d wanted to get married on Valentine’s Day, and this had been much easier to arrange than she’d thought. Beforehand, she couldn’t resist the opportunity to get the bridesmaids together for one last time before she tied the knot. No dismal dreams, no breaks in the seam, there was no part of the reality that would soon be that she wanted to leave. All of her guests, a blonde and black horse named Baybea, a winged fennec named Ruby, a white vixen named Belle, and a black and white rabbit named Havi, were as excited for the wedding as she was. That night had been spent catching up on each other’s affairs, talking about the wedding and how everybody would feel taking their bridesmaid roles amongst many other things, while sneaking in a little talk about each of their partners. Although Elizabeth was reluctant to let loose about Peter’s private affairs, even when her guests all did this with their partners, she was eventually coaxed into telling them about a time she had seen him fail spectacularly at turning on a malfunctioning projector while he was training a junior doctor in how to use the equipment his clinic utilised. While not private, it was still very amusing, and one she was sure they would remember for a long time to come.
Weighing on her mind, of course, was the upcoming wedding. When she was a young cub, she had dreamed of being treated like a princess and finding her metaphorical knight in shining armour. And now that this enchanted dream was about to come to life, her mind was abuzz with excitement. If only Peter could see her now, if only he could see her face, if only he could peek into her mind for just a short moment...he would see everything he had talked about crossing length after length. This was to be a week none of the women would forget.
Alright, I couldn’t think of a better title than the one that was originally used. :p
Another story intentionally written in an ambiguous manner due to being unable to find all of the information I needed, now we have a shot of Jinx’s last slumber party before her marriage. All of these ladies look amazing, and Saetia really had fun drawing this piece. Let’s see Homer Simpson try and compare Jinx’s marriage to the eating of an orange. :p
