I'm a cactus traveling across the stars in a sentient Amazon shipping box moving at 55 meters per hour. I also host a pit of naughty artworks found in my FurAffinity account going by the same name.

However, I do not plan on posting adult artworks here, but that doesn't mean this place is going to be any less interesting. Hopefully. Maybe.

Unless you like cool spaceships or something. There'll be plenty of that. Hopefully. Maybe.

Assumption thing and Freedom Planet

I was going to post a journal anyway, so I thought I'd also throw in the assumption thing that's been going around. Subject me to the most libelous accusation and I will be honest about it. I mean, people wouldn't lie on the internet, right?

Secondly, Freedom Planet got released on Steam this week. I've beat this game with both characters (Lilac on normal, Carol on hard- but difficulty is meaningless in this game as it only affects damage taken) and I have to say that while the game is fun, mechanics solid, music awesome, and boss fights intense, the difficulty abruptly spikes beyond the heavens at the last stage; going from "Alright, so I made a mistake here and there. I got this" to "This game is trying to rip my goddamn balls off and beat me to death with it." That does not mean it's impossible to beat, but I feel like everything that made previous bosses interesting were thrown out just for the sake of making the final boss difficult. If that can be balanced in the future, then I will have no complaints.

That aside, the effort is clearly there and it's a good game. It really is. It's a shame that its Sonic vibe puts off a lot of people (And it has) and there's not much that can be done about it. But hell, Freedom Planet does a better job at platforming than Sega could have done in years, and combines a lot of elements found in various titles (Rocket Knight's air dash, Megaman X's wall jump, and such) really well. If you can look past the stigma then I highly recommend giving it at least a try. There's also a demo on GalaxyTrail's website that lets you play the first stage, but I feel like second stage would have been a better choice for it, given how much better its boss fight is compared to the first stage's.

But yeah, there's that. Assume away, or just carry on with your day, whichever floats your boat. I still haven't had much luck art-wise.

Greetings! It's been a hectic month but that hasn't bothered me the slightest.

Having something to do is good, as long as it is something you like ^^
What kind of things are/were they ?

        • Link

School assignments, fiddling around with models and reading and writing papers.

An abomination ruthlessly mangled together with cubes, begging to be killed in its every waking moment. Nothing overly complicated.

3D stuff then ? That is something I would want to look at one day...

Yeah, I'd like to get a handle of it so that I can just trace ship models, or at least make them easier to draw.
