This icon was first done in mid-2014, back when I was still starting to get a handle on who Balina was. I'd gotten a basic reference sheet done, and the basic idea of Balinology had come about, but I was still figuring out what a moof even really looked like. HanMonster had been recommended to me, and given the results she routinely delivers, it was a no-brainer. Most of the basic details were taken off of the reference sheet, though Han was given free reign and encouraged to go nuts. This was one of the first times someone really nailed her as a weird hybrid; more of her distinctly animal traits came through than in previous pictures. This was very much the fluffy monster I considered Balina to be at the time, and informed how I presented her for quite some time.
