GOOD GOD IN HEAVEN.

Long story short, Mondeis - yes, THE Mondeis - was offering only THREE $30 human/humanoid portraits and I was so mother fucking excited I nearly threw my dad's laptop across the room. Good thing I didn't though for many reasons, the top one being that I wouldn't have gotten a slot - which btw I got the VERY LAST ONE. squees not so internally But problem was the ONLY refs I had for who I wanted Mondeis to draw were insanely old - like 2009 old - and a headshot that would kinda-sorta be all that was needed in the end, but I like to give artists all the info they need and a tad bit more because I know how annoying it can be to hardly have any information to work with sometimes so I always end up giving kinda-sorta a lot. I try to tone it down enough to not seem demanding or give TMI though, just helpful, and I hope this is the way it usually comes across so feel free to tell me if it's not BUT WOW I'm GETTING SO OFF TRACK AND THAT'S NOT THE POINT.

So anyway, as I made the comment about a slot I was like "ohmaigawd ok so here's some stuff for right this moment to get an idea of what you're working with but lemme just throw a legit ref your way in like 2 seconds after I draw her" and I threw myself at my sketchbook like never before and did this in like checks time couldn't have been more than 15 minutes, but I even lean towards 10.

I DON'T DRAW FAST GUYS. I DON'T. DON'T LET THE SEMI-PROPORTIONATE LADY THING HERE FOOL YOU. I SUCK AT DRAWING FAST.

This girl, Korkarea, is legit my childhood embodied in a dire wolf woman. She's in all seriousness my first ever OC, and has evolved throughout the years as I grew up but has always retained the essence of what she started as, and is one of the major characters in my novel series The Legend of Lunias (that very vague one that oh so little is told about lolz). I've drawn her more times than I can count, so honestly the only reason I had any ability to draw her as "good" as you see here is because of that. And still...her eyes are off, the part in her hair is shifted funny/not centered, her tail and ears? forces a laugh and sweet jumping sarcophagus her hands...HER HANDS.

So am I proud of this pic? Dear lord no. But I'm proud that I even have the ability to get something like THAT done in 10-15 minutes knowing how long I typically take to get something done. Regularly I will take anything from an hour or two to the entire day to work on a piece, and while I used to be really self-conscious about this, especially since I don't think my work is like "This took me four whole hours" good (if that even makes sense) I don't really care now as much, but it's how I do.

Maybe after finishing these requests I'll go ahead and re-draw her without the wheels-on-fire attitude I had about this one and we can throw a comparison party or something shrugs I'll even time myself for what it's worth lolz
