I did this collar as an experiment for a personal collar. I'm very pleased with how the embroidery came out and will be offering it on commissions!
1" on 1.5" with slicked finish liner with nickel hardware and locking tongue buckle.
While the embroidery came out much better than I expected, the dye on the green strap is splotchy. As such, I'll be selling it to anybody who makes a reasonable offer. PM me if interested.
Oh thank you kindly! Leatherwork is a very practical craft, I'm quite happy I picked it up. The embroidery is sewn by hand, each stitch hole hand punched and hand threaded with a saddle stitch. Took much longer to transfer the design onto the leather than it did to actually do the stitching.
Let me know if I can be of help if you choose to pursue leatherwork!
I love making stuff with my hands, so creating stuff with leather would be right up my alley, even if it isnt really cheap Lol
To transfer the design to the strip, did you use tracing paper and press along the spots?
The design was marked up in photoshop and then printed, cut out on paper and aligned with where it needed to go. I then used my stylus/spoon to trace the design into the leather. After that, I followed each of the embossed lines with my stitch spacing tool, then a long and tedious time on the wood block with the stitching awl. Finally, I followed up with embroidery floss using a saddle stitch.

that embroidery is awesome! I've been looking at getting into making leather products lately and Im happy to see someone else having an eye for something more stylized. Im assuming that the embroidery is hand-sewn?
