Contest entry for Aranel-Elensar and CrossHound213's contest. (I won 1st place eeee ;u; )

These are their characters, Kaffir (African Wild Dog) and Su (Red Panda)

Really struggled to finish this, the picture gave me a lot of trouble... but I forced myself to finish it today so that I don't miss the deadline, since I don't know when I'll get another chance to work on bigger pieces now due to moving. x.x

At least it was mostly done, so all I had to do was detail, but detailing is also the hardest part. xD

Even though it's a couple contest, I drew the two more apart, while still together, because of their personalities. I wanted to try to illustrate their patience and understanding to one another here. Even though Kaffir seems pretty passive, they both treasure their memories of each other, and this is just another memory in the making...

"Kaffir and Su's relationship is a strange one indeed. Where Su is calm, happy, and welcoming, Kaffir is the exact opposite. Kaffir doesn't make very many expressions, mostly just hate, indifference, or anger while Su is very expressive, almost always happy and cheerful. Their love and loyalty for each other is undying, though they do not touch unless Su initiates it (and even at that Kaffir doesn't return much, if at all) or unless Kaffir is jerking Su out of harm's way. Their love is mostly expressed by Su's loving patience and understanding towards Kaffir, while Kaffir shows his love by not killing Su and protecting her."
