I love it when work is slow. I managed some on-shift doodles of Nightcrawler and Rogue, done with black pen in my moleskine.

I can't express how proud I am of myself for these drawings. I seriously feel like I'm hitting one of those huge milestones in my art, where I'm figuring out how to do a whole bunch of little things that suddenly push my style forward to a point where it starts becoming unrecognizable as my own work. In a good way! Getting back into reading comic books this last while has obviously made something click, and I'm eager to experiment.

EDIT: Oh, and yes, that's a teeny Nightcrawler with a platter of lemonade on the bottom. Inspired by this panel from the comics, which I adore.
