GroLabs Security Incident: Pico

GroLabs Security Incident: Pico

The night in GroLabs hadn’t gone entirely to Theo’s plan, but now that he was in here, escaping would require a much different plan. Since when did Alkali set up shrinking security? Usually there were people around to handle the aftermath of security incidents and Theo, a blue and black feline with a history of getting ‘recruited’ to the security or experiments teams, knew how to avoid other security guards (or sometimes let himself get caught, for the thrill of it).

He walked into Alkali’s lab space, tripped a camera’s alarm, and was automatically tracked by a shrink ray. Even worse, that Dewott didn’t have the courtesy to keep the shrinking to a minimum. At this size Theo estimated he couldn’t be any taller than a centimeter. Other micros would be a danger now. Everything looked to be kilometers away relatively. Getting someone’s attention, or getting out of the lab, was first to do but also took time at this size. There wouldn’t be any easy way to get on any furniture, closer to someone’s eye level-

“Theo? Is that you down there?” a typically much higher pitched voice asked.

The quaking THUD of a Joltik landing on the ground knocked Theo off balance, a few grams of bug but still enough to throw the speck of Theo to his knees. A shrunken cat situation was dangerous enough, but that voice sent a shiver down the feline’s spine. He turned to look up at Pico approaching from behind as he rose back to his feet. Pico wore a body suit covering most of his yellow fur on legs and chest, but even with the arms still visible and general stocky body type his underlying strength was disguised by that layer of fluff. The engineer was rising from a superhero landing, and each step still vibrated the ground beneath Theo’s feet. With no way to get away on the miles and miles of flat, waxed lab flooring from Pico.

“Heeey Pico, you uh, wouldn’t happen to know how I can get back to normal size?” Theo asked, loosening the yellow scarf around his neck in a cartoonish way to show he was nervously letting off steam.

The electric type bent over, all four eyes focused on the cat. “That depends, did you try sneaking into the lab agaiiin?”

“No! Of course I didn’t. It’s my shift on security duty but I left my card-”

“But I thought it was my turn,” Pico said, opening a projection of the lab shifts schedule from his phone. Since when did Pico get that anyway? “If you’re sure it’s your shift, you could always come along with me.”

The typically friendly blue eyes flashed with momentary malice. Theo could swear he saw a bit of red in the bug’s gaze. And some squirming inside his suit, betraying the bug’s intentions. Apparently someone else was already captured, the outline of a person just barely visible around Pico’s hips.

“That’s okay, I can find my own way out-” Theo started with an awkward laugh. He took a few steps backward before Pico bounded forward and surrounded him with tree-trunk thick legs on either side. Theo’s heart sank, realizing that even at a run the Joltik could catch up with a single step.

“Nooo, let me help my favorite micro friend! You’re sooo nice to tiny folks after all, right? Never bullying.”

Without asking permission Theo found himself pulled by the end of his tail to dangle over Pico’s head. His tail fluffed out, bent at odd angles as the cat panicked in Pico’s grip. There also wasn’t a good place to keep Theo safe; the cat could practically see the thoughts in Pico’s head, thinking through his options for storage. The suit moved subtly again, showing that someone was already deep inside there near the electric type’s belly.

Shrugging, Pico unzipped the top portion of his jumpsuit. Up close Theo could see that keeping that fluff in check revealed the underlying musculature of his pecs. Yellow fur puffing free briefly obscured it again, but he had a feeling that wouldn’t remain the case forever. Pico lowered the cat so that his face was squarely pressed into the valley of Pico’s chest.

“Nooo, hangon I can explain. Don’t you put me in there-” he started complaining, before Pico zipped the suit up again. He was trapped in the darkness, held and pressed by the tight latex. Warmth surrounded him and the humid environment trapped in all the heat and sweat. His twitching tip of his tail was visible out of the top of Pico’s suit, but otherwise? No movement allowed. Only squirming and huffing at the hot situation.

Pico huffed, the cute fluffy face briefly blushing red as he set a hand on the barely squirming cat. “There. Much safer for the entire day in there. And muuuch more pleasant to feel you too. Maybe next time you’ll think twice about trapping micros now that you’re getting a taste for yourself.” Trick was still down there too, enjoying the time against Joltik fluff as far as Pico could tell. He’d let the Manectric out later, when his shift was over.

The bug briefly considered putting in a report about the security incident… before shaking his head no. This one would be just for his own enjoyment. No one else needed to know that he kept the little cat for a day. Maybe longer. It was his month to have fun after all.
