Micro May Warmup: Pico

Pico yawned and rolled over on his spot in Manectric fur, resting on Trick’s chest. Warm, soft, and barely smelling like Trick, it was a better bed than Pico was used to before getting discovered in GroLabs last year. Before that the tiny Joltik slept in matchboxes, ripped fabric from discarded experiments, repurposed cotton… anything that could be taken without being noticed. Not anymore though. After an entire year spending time in Bui, Bk, and Trick’s house he’d gained the bad habit of sleeping in later and on any of the roomies that had space. But how could anyone blame him when a chest was bigger than a California King bed? Pico pressed ‘snooze’ on his phone alarm and lightly rested as Trick’s chest slowly moved him up and down.

10 minutes later the phone went off a second time, and Pico realized he couldn’t put off the day any longer. Time to get up and get some work done. He picked the tiny, shrunken phone up to look at the date… and realized it was May 1st. All four eyes went wide immediately. Finally! Micro May! My month is here! Pico jumped to his feet and jumped up and down on Trick’s chest.

“Trick! Trick, get up! We have to start celebrating micros and shrinking people!” Pico said in a high pitched, adorably excited voice.

The Manectric, spread out on the bed as large as an office building to Pico, didn’t respond though instead snoring through the movement. Well, that wasn’t entirely accurate. He did scratch his chest briefly and then roll over.

Pico grabbed onto the electric type’s fur to hold tight, but that didn’t save him from the coming crush. A wall of Manectric chest loomed above, eclipsing the light of the bedroom briefly before blue and yellow fur came crashing down. Pico smashed in a spread arms and legs position between athletic pecs and soft blankets. He hummed a satisfied noise and waited there for several more minutes; no need to rush for getting the day started when before trying to crawl free.

Slowly pulling free from the fur and chest, his head popped out first. “That was nice, but I have to make the most of this month!” he mumbled. The comforting feeling of being covered under a hefty chest, muscled and firm, did feel good of course. But without help from another person or other group of Joltiks, he’d be lost under a wall of manly pecs for as long as Trick wanted. If only Trick’s chest wasn’t quite so… heavy…

A shadow approached the bed, covering the bed and by extension Pico again too. Then a second shadow, slightly smaller, followed up. Pico’s head looked up to see both Bk and Buizilla moving into the bedroom.

“Okay, it’s nap time, that was a lot of outside time doing chores-” Bk started saying before he was picked up by Buizilla and flopped into the bed. Trick was beneath them both but only barely moved around under them. He apparently didn’t mind being used as part of the bed either, unaware of the smallest bug beneath the stack of Pokemon.

“W-Wait, hold on! I’m down here too! It’s Micro May-” Pico started to say in a squeaky voice, before being smothered by two separate Pokemon flopping onto Trick. Three different Pokemon was a different level of weight but Pico could probably handle this. Probably. He was a resilient Joltik. “Would you guys mind… moving? A little?” he asked, to no response.

Maybe some more rest was a good plan, he thought with a sigh. It sounded like Bk, Trick, and Buizilla weren’t going to be moving off the bed anytime soon after all. Micro May was an entire month long. Trick and Pico could take good care of their roomies if they ended up small later in May. But first… rest. Pico curled up against the trio of fuzzy ‘mons and sighed happily. This wasn’t what he’d planned for the start of the month, but it wasn’t a bad start either.
