Kinda a jump in time here =) I have been trying to upload these in order of when I made them but oh well!
This was my first burning that I attempted adding color too. You can use different mediums to color a wood burning, most of the burners in my club use oil pencils but...there is just something about them that I just don't find appealing. Adding color to a wood burning can be tricky. Too much color distracts and even covers the delicate shading you can achieve with wood burning and in the end makes it no different than a painting. So I thought I would go the watercolor route. Since watercolor can be very transparent I thought it would be perfect to give my burnings just the right amount of color without masking all the shading I have done with my burner.
