Mel and Larry!

A bit of explanation without giving too much away: Larry has a military background and is a natural at working within a disciplined, hierarchical command structure. As such, he finds the laid-back and almost anarchic nature of the Simian Rapscallion crew rather jarring at first. Those below him don't exhibit proper subordination, and those above him don't seem to actually give him many orders! But as he gets to know them better, particularly Mel, he realises that he can actually relax in that environment, something he's never been able to do much before.

As you can see, Purithyan squirrel monkeys are significantly larger than real-world squirrel monkeys (and Mel is female, so the males are even larger, as is the case in most primates).
