I am still alive, yes. The thing you forget when you literally reverse your sleeping schedule for two weeks is that it takes more than a week to get it back on track, and during that week you seriously lack ambition. I make no excuses, but this is my excuse for why it took me so long to get this written and posted.
Not much to say here, really. I may repeat myself a few times in that, but that's sort of the point. The main take-away is that you should be more concerned with the concept of what you want to get across, the big picture in terms of story.
Oh, and as always, if you have suggestions for further entries in this silly thing I'm doing here, let me know and I'll try to come up with something marginally intelligent to say about it.

Ha ha... if you don't have much to say, don't feel obligated to leave a reply. I'm honestly surprised these are getting as many views as they are (though I always question how many are just looking at the title art). Also, I admit this particular entry isn't my best, so there's that.
Anyway, thanks for sticking with it. I am working on another one, though I don't know how helpful it will end up being. But it's something I thought worth discussion that doesn't get brought up too often.
(Also, excuse the late reply; I've been without site access for a while.)

Hah, well I'd at least like to say something. Not just for myself either as I feel like someone should. I question that on anything I submit myself.

In situations like this I hate saying NEVER do this. Like the mirror cliche, if you are going to do it, turn it on its head. Take an old idea and find a way to make it fresh and new. Maybe when he gets into the bathroom he immediately punches the glass and shatters it. Or when he looks in the mirror, he can see the dead hooker lying on his bed.

That's true. I guess I mostly just meant to never use such things in the way that they're intended (in other words, don't ever use the mirror cliche just as an excuse to describe the main character). But yeah, if you want to do something unexpected with old tricks, by all means, nothing is stopping you.

I'm in a bit of a slump lately for being well-spoken, but I do want to say that I found this entry enlightening. If nothing else, it at least got me considering my approach to describing things and trying to find ways to apply it. Hopefully I'm not the only one who appreciates what you're doing here. I am not sure what to suggest for a further entry though, apologies for that.
