Background: Hippolyta started life as Hillary Paulsen, a young girl who possessed extraordinary abilities and a rather unfortunate home life. Since birth she was amazingly stronger than a normal child and much more resilient to injury. As a young child, her biological father disappeared on her and her mother and her step father was abusive towards them both. This lack of a good male role model led Hillary to gain a hatred towards men. The only pleasure Hillary found was in the stories she read of the greek female warriors the Amazons, and the TV shows she watched with fairly strong, independent female heroines. She gain confidence from her idols and near the start of her preteens she stood up to her step father by beating him half to death. While her father was brought up on charges of domestic abuse, her assault on him caused her to be placed in juvenile hall for a few years. Around her teens, Hillary’s dislike of men caused her to lose any sexual or romantic attraction towards men. Instead Hillary developed an attraction towards other women, specifically beautiful and strong women. After she finished high school, she decided to become a female wrestler in a unisex wrestling ring. She enjoyed the work until her male manager cheated her, stealing money from her. In a rage she killed him and took back her money. She has since begun life as a super-powered criminal under the name Hippolyta after the queen of the amazons. While she generally steals from banks, she also fancies herself an extreme feminist in which she disrupts functions that she believes demeans women. She has also been known to cripple or even kill men during her activities.

This shows that Darkwing Duckette is radically different from the original Darkwing Duck; A lesbian villain. I wanted her because I thought It would be fun to have Gosalyn question her sexual preference when Hippolyta is introduced and starts flirting with her. Please note this isn't a comment on lesbians as I have a relative who is a lesbian and have no ill will against that sexual orientation. Please enjoy.
