Frank's Writing Tips and Bachelor Cookbook: Flow

MLR

I've been a little busy/out of sorts lately, hence why this took so long to produce. But here we go, another thing people bat around a lot that I wanted to attempt to expound on in a meaningful way. As always, please discuss, argue, throw full wine bottles at me, whatever you like.

I'm going to ask for opinions now: what do folks want to hear about? If you read this, let me know, and I'll pick from that list for the topic of the next piece I write in this little series. Just consider that it needs to be something I can write 4 or 5 pages on.

EDITED TO ADD: Oh, and if you don't know how to steam rice, what you do is you add the dry rice to the boiling water and turn the heat down as low and you can, cover it but let it vent, and let it cook for about 15 minutes, or until most of the water gets absorbed (this is tricky: watch it the first few times to get the hang of it, because it's easy to burn). Then you turn the heat off and let it sit there with the lid on for about 5-10 minutes. DO NOT STIR IT AT ANY POINT. If you do it right it'll be nice and sticky when it's done.
Other option is to just use a rice-cooker, but what's the fun in that.

I'd like to see your take on dialogue, since that's my favorite thing. Also, I still can't argue with you.

I could certainly do dialogue. That's one of my favorite things as well, so we'll see if I can come up with some reasons why.
I think you're just too nice to argue.

I always like that you cover the subject from more than one angle, if that makes sense. I also agree with the above for Dialogue.

With this one, I ended up having to go from a few places, because it was such a specific topic. I sort of regretted starting it after I started it for that reason, but I think I managed to dredge up enough material to keep it interesting.

Anyway, since we've got two votes already for dialogue, I'll do dialogue next.
