The world was once a peaceful place, of which was inhabited by furs of all kinds. Mammals, avians, reptiles, they all existed in harmony here. However, that all changed when one evil chinchilla, named Marna, took it upon himself to take over the many peaceful nations. He, along with numerous henchmen that were just as evil as the mage himself, quickly began taking over the lands, oftentimes inflating their inhabitants to the point of becoming large, creaking orbs that were on the verge of popping.
What isn’t inhabited by civilians is now filled with minions summoned by the rulers of whatever land they resided in. These minions attempted to inflate anyone passing by, oftentimes leaving them alone afterwards and letting fate have its way with them. The only way to combat them was to beat them at their own game; to inflate them until they’re either unwilling to keep fighting, or are rendered unable to do so.
Now almost the entire world has been taken by these evil rulers, and only a few groups have attempted to oppose them. Our story focuses on a small group of individuals in particular, of whom have decided to become one of these rebelling teams. They knew well the dangers that could come from this adventure, yet they were fully willing to risk themselves for the sake of bringing back the world they once knew.
The one to initially form this group was a gray furred lynx, named Tsuki. She was only an amateur at using inflation spells, but she believed that the adventure would provide enough learning experiences for her to expand on her talents. She was known to be rather optimistic about things, and had a boldness that often accompanied her positive outlook on things.
The second member of the team was a tall taur covered with thick green fur, who went by the name Zaru. His head, arms, and legs were those of a wolf, with black claws on the tips of his fingers and toes. His tail, however, was as long as his body, and was extremely fluffy. Zaru tended to sleep on this huge tail of his, and often boasted of how comfortable it was. Rather than spells of inflation, Zaru was much more comfortable with bows and arrows, of which were modified to inflate whatever they hit. Zaru equipped himself with arrows for helium, air, and even water inflation, always trying to be as prepared as possible.
The third and final member of the trio was a cheob cat by the name of Ajax. It took a considerable amount of coaxing to persuade him to come on their adventure. Most of his fur was a dark turquoise color, although his hands and feet faded to a bright green. A purple tuft of hair went between his two dark blue ears, and a single ring hung from a piercing near the base of one ear. Ajax was particularly skilled in the art of manual inflation, and preferred to fight by shoving a hose down the throat of his enemies before pumping them full of varying materials, based on what his pump was currently set to put out. Like Zaru, he knew how to use helium, air, and water on his opponents, although the opportunity to learn of other inflation possibilities did pique his interest.
These three now stood at the edge of their hometown, Worgen Willows, and were about to traverse the large forests surrounding the area. The nearest town that needed their aid was a relatively small trip to the north, the city being known as Liztown. After some final supply checks were made, the three took a deep breath and set off, Ajax and Tsuki riding atop Zaru’s back as they began a long, long adventure…
