Even as we wished to remain alone you still hunted us. Now the slave is no longer the enslaved and the gods are exposed.'

The soldiers evacuated the facility immediately as soon as the ship was able to lift off. This operation was a failure. They were expecting to find the facility mostly devoid, but not a new life form, which also seemed to be now hostile. Considering that this was a facility focusing on food production, they were hoping that maybe they could have either looted or bartered for food and medical supplies from the personnel. However, now their food supplies still remained at alarmingly low levels.

Once safe from the facility the crew prepared to enter cryostasis again. Normally the majority of the crew would remain out of stasis, but considering the low supplies having only one person functional in case of emergencies would allow the supplies to last longer. The morale of the crew was low because of the constant rationing and it only made sense that a few of them would have looted some of the produce from the facility while nobody was looking and having something to eat that was, relatively, fresh made the long days and nights of being on call a bit more tolerable.

At an unknown time the cryostasis broke and the all the pods opened up. Normally this process takes hours as the body has to have time to warm up and have nutrients injected into it to avoid a prolonged sickness and weakness. The reason for the sudden wake up call became apparent as they saw one of the monsters roaming in the cryobay. As the pods had opened up it had already began to do something terrible to the now weakened crew who were struggling to get onto their feet.

Only a handful managed to escape from the cryobay and into other parts of the ship, but now with the things running rampant and more of them being constantly created, they wouldn't likely last for long. Realizing this, one of the crew changed the ships destination coordinates to a random point in the galaxy so these monsters wouldn't land on their homebase. Mysteriously, after a month of the ship having become overrun the coordinates changed back to those of the soldiers homebase."
