Threw this together ver, VERY quickly as sort of a proof-of-concept for a possible more stylized, rough and sketchy colouring method.
It was very fun, quick and although the results are a bit sloppy I kind of like that about it.... plus its a hell of a lot faster than the method I use for a lot of stuf. Mostly I'm just trying to trin myself to work looser and more "care-free" and this seems like a good way to do and still get something that looks almost pasable.
This was mostly a test so I'd love to hear what you guys think about it. Would like to see stuff from me in a similar style to this, rough and loose and tad more cartoony than my normal work? Keeping in mind that for an actual piece I'd refine it a fair bit more than this one, especially in areas like the scales around his eyes and stuff.

I don't think it looks that cartoony, personally. Nice job!
